Ipomoea alba, Moonflower
The Moonflower is a quick growing summer flowering climber which creates its magic at dusk when the large tissue paper fine, strongly perfumed flowers open up .Sometimes these last into the next day if the sky is overcast but usually you have to wait for the following evening to get another "fix" of this beauty. I have found it difficult to keep going over winter so it is best treated as an annual . Lots of seed is produced and some will grow up where it was originally planted the following year if you forget to collect them.
