Amaranthus caudatus
Amaranthus caudatus
This has been in flower now for about 5 months. I have cut off old flowers and it just keeps coming back.
I really love those flowers. They have been in my little garden for years on end. They look especially excellent during the summer months in conjunction with other plants of lighter color.
Velvet Ropes is a vry apt name for this beauty. I grow the ordinary kitchen variety of amaranthus as a vegetable.
